A Less Stressful Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl Sunday is here again. I actually love Super Bowl Sunday. Not really because of the game, but because it’s a time to gather together with friends and family, munching away while rooting for your team or no team at all. If you’re one of those 34million people that will be hosting a Super Bowl party at your house this year, you’re probably already dreading what’s going to become of your family room at the end of the day. Here are a few tips for a less stressful party and clean up.

Try to plan these meals ahead. You don’t want to be in and out of the kitchen still cooking while the game is going on. You can order some of these foods or make most of them the day before. Buffalo chicken wings, tacos, chicken tenders, mini burgers, veggie trays, chips and dips are great finger foods that won’t leave your house too messy and can be very filling for your guests.

I’m guessing most of the guests are going to be in your living room, sitting on all the nice couches that can easily get stained. To avoid people leaving plates on the floor and other people stepping over it, or people spilling dips and drinks on your couch or carpet, make sure you provide lots of stools/coffee tables/TV trays for your guests. Having a flat surface area to place their food on will reduce a lot of spilling.

Don’t forget to have napkins and cleaning items around the party area for people to clean up immediately there’s a spill. Enjoy your Super Bowl!
