An Urban Chic Wedding in Houston

We had a great time working with Sonume and Obi. They knew exactly what they wanted right from our first meeting which made their wedding planning process seamless and fun.

Their beautiful wedding ceremony was held at the Ascension Episcopal Church. Church was packed full of well wishers and you could tell Sonume and Obi were so loved by everyone in attendance. Guests, including some members of the bridal party (over 24 people in this awesome bridal party!) flew in from about 6 continents to celebrate with the lovely couple. The ceremony was classy and well organized with 5 pastors officiating. The bride, who is from a family with beautiful voices, had her siblings and cousins render beautiful solos.

Immediately after the ceremony came the reception at the elegant Petroleum Club of Houston. The view of the city’s skyline from the grand ballroom was a beauty to behold. Flora and Eventi did an amazing job decorating the ballroom, giving it a magical feel. The “wows!” from guests kept coming as they stepped into the ballroom. Divisi Strings, more talented dancers and singers from the bride’s family entertained guests during dinner. The groom’s thank you speech brought cheers, laughter and a tear or two. There was a lot of eating, drinking and dancing. No one wanted the beautiful party to end!
