Dollie & Toba were such a pleasant couple to work with. At our first consultation with Dollie she had mentioned there were two things she'd made up her mind about when she got engaged: the first was using The Corinthian in downtown Houston as her wedding reception venue while the second was securing Events by Doyin as her event planning company. We were thrilled about the kind words and having the privilege to work with a gorgeous bride who had a lovely personality.
Dollie knew exactly what she wanted her wedding to look and feel like which made the planning process smooth for us. Since she was out of town in school throughout the duration of the planning period, she always joined in on vendor meetings by phone, video or even text messages. It was her special day and as someone who was very visual, she wanted to be as involved in the vendor meetings as possible. She wasn't going to be left out of any of the details!
The venue for the ceremony was the magnificent Christ Church Cathedral with breathtaking windows and artifacts. Though it was selected for it's exquisiteness, it was also less than 5minutes drive from the reception venue making it easy to get to for the guests who were attending this Houston wedding from over 4 continents. The Reverend was straight to the point while the talented soloist sang beautifully. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful and very classy.
Weddings at The Corinthian always turn out beautiful and this wasn't an exception. The guests were ushered in with cocktails while they got serenaded by the lovely string quartet group, Divisi Strings. The decorator and rental company, Darryl & Co went all out to ensure the wedding was all the bride ever dreamed about.
